Here's the note from my brother Jeff with a little announcement about this:
I am taking part in a Web-based project that is selling wall calendars to benefit the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
To quote from the sales site:
"A little over a year ago, some forum members from BroadbandReports.com's Digital Imaging forum discussed how to collectively use the photographs that they were taking to help out a charity. The result is Shooting For A Cause. Currently, we have a line of four calendars. Five dollars from the sale of each calendar will go to help The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children®."
The calendars are on sale as of today (Friday, December 7). The sales site is at: http://www.cafepress.com/shooting4acause. You will see links for each of the calendars.
I submitted one photo, for the Flowers calendar, and was amazed that it was selected because the Digital Imaging forum has many very highly talented photographers. It will be the October photo, and can be seen by selecting "Flowers Wall Calendar" on the Cafepress site shown above, then clicking "View Calendar Pages", then clicking "Oct".
The hope is that at least $1000 will be raised for the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
I think that's pretty cool!
